The next generation of the mushroom guide has finally arrived on Google Play. Since 2010, the Mushroom Guide has been the leading mushroom app, now receiving a significant upgrade and a new name: Svampguiden+.

Here are some of its noteworthy features:

Over 200 species described and illustrated with more than 1,100 images, along with numerous videos.
A photo recognition feature powered by artificial intelligence allows for rapid identification of your finds using the camera. This capability functions offline, making it possible to identify species deep in the woods.
Each species description includes images and links to look-alikes, facilitating easy comparison with similar mushrooms. Some species are accompanied by videos where Michael Krikorev and Helena Björnström provide educational insights about their distinguishing characteristics.
Smart functionalities such as filtering by various attributes and a classic mushroom key aid in species identification.
A mushroom quiz feature allows users to test their knowledge and expand their understanding of these forest treasures.
Save your mushroom locations using Android's built-in GPS and mapping features for easy retrieval later. Users can also add photos and comments to their saved spots, and share them via email or SMS with friends if desired.
Support for importing and exporting mushroom locations in GPX format, which is compatible with many other applications and GPS devices.
The database is integrated within the app, eliminating the need for an internet connection when searching for information.
Migrate your saved favorites and mushroom locations from the iOS versions of Svampguiden Classic and Svampguiden+ to Svampguiden+ on Android.

The expert behind the images and descriptions is Michael Krikorev, a trained biologist and mycologist. He teaches mushroom courses and leads excursions during autumn. Michael has also authored several mushroom books and manages svampguiden.com, Sweden's most visited mushroom website, which features an active forum, recipes, and additional information about mushrooms.
